Christmas Collection 2025: HOPE Worldwide Afghanistan

For over 20 years, HOPE Worldwide Afghanistan has been a beacon of hope for families facing hardship in Afghanistan. The Watford Church has proudly partnered with HOPE, helping to deliver life-changing support to some of the country’s most vulnerable communities.

Why Your Support Matters Now

Afghanistan is enduring one of its most challenging periods in recent history. Political upheaval, economic instability, and natural disasters have left millions displaced and struggling to survive. Women and children are especially at risk, with limited access to education, employment, and basic necessities.

How to Donate:

You can gift at https://hopeworldwide.org.uk/give/ Choose “Afghan General” from the Designation dropdown list and tick “I am a UK taxpayer” if appropriate so HOPE can claim 25% additional funds from the government.

Hurricane Melissa Update

Dear brothers & sisters in Christ,

The devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica has deeply affected communities in Jamaica and many of our family in Christ. Every week, Ian Correa (HOPE worldwide UK Director of International Development) and I join with our HOPE worldwide partners in the USA, Canada and sister churches in Jamaica to pray, encourage, and coordinate relief.

Power and communications in much of Jamaica remain badly disrupted, and the need for food in affected communities is urgent. Some areas, normally reachable in three hours from Kingston, are now taking up to six hours to access due to damaged roads and flooding—when they can be reached at all.

With God’s help and your partnership, relief packages are reaching the vulnerable (general community and members of our churches): staple foods (rice, flour, tinned tuna, mackerel, beans), clean water, toiletries, wipes, candles, mosquito repellents, laundry soap, sanitary items, and more. These supplies make a real difference.

At one meeting, it was expressed that they truly appreciated knowing "that they are not alone".

Please take a moment to watch a brief video update from Jamaica.  Feel free to share as you see fit.

Thank you for your prayers and support.

Job Description

Church Contribution Pledge 2024

We are asking the congregation to make a prayerful financial pledge in light of the principles we have taught in the past and the biblical principles and teachings shared in today’s sermon. We believe doing this will be refreshing for our hearts and our relationship with God, and it will also help us make plans to put into practice the vision that God is revealing for us as a church.

We request all church members to make a joyful pledge after prayer and reflection. If you have any questions, please ask a leadership team member.
